From 1971-75, I trained at The Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art which at the time was situated within the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. The Ashmolean houses a wonderful collection of English delftware vessels and tiles. My interest in such work derives from this time. Following a move to Somerset, I returned to painting full-time and started making tiles.
